Successful congress fair: Cyber ​​criminals hate secIT

The IT security congress fair secIT by heise was a complete success for the visitors and the organizer. This year the visitor record was broken with over 2200 participants. Above all, the lectures and workshops selected by c’t, heise Security and iX were real crowd pullers.

The aim of the editorial content was to provide participants with concrete facts and instructions so that the security of the company’s IT would benefit directly. Among other things, the focus was on the CRITICAL shortage of skilled workers as well as trends and current buzzwords in IT security. The workshops focused on the security of Active Directory and Windows 11, for example.

Our partners’ program was also packed to the brim, and visitors to the exhibition exchanged views on current threat and security trends. The party was well attended and enabled exciting discussions.

The first presentation of the CISO Awards was a complete success. With these awards, Ron Kneffel, CEO of the CISO Alliance e. V., innovation projects of IT security managers in companies. “We were very pleased that the CISO Alliance used secIT as a framework for their award ceremony. It would be nice if the creative security strategies found many imitators,” says Jörg Mühle, member of the management board at Heise Medien.

secIT Digital will take place on September 13th and 14th, 2023. The name says it all and participation takes place remotely. So you can listen to the lectures in a relaxed manner at your own desk. The next big secIT on site in Hanover is planned for March 6th and 7th, 2024.
